Your words are yours.
Aapki Gaatha is a book you write in your own voice. This page says plainly what we keep, why we keep it, and how you stay in charge of it.
Who we are
Aapki Gaatha (aapkigaatha.com) is run by Qorvatech in India. For anything about your data, write to hello@aapkigaatha.com.
What we keep
- Your email address (or phone number) for signing in, and your name.
- What you put in the book: typed answers, voice recordings and their transcripts, photos, videos, and family chat.
- Family details you give us: who is who, birth year or place if you choose to add them.
- The technical minimum: your language choice, sign-in times, and basic device information needed to run the app properly.
What we do with it
One thing: build your book and show it to the people you choose. We do not run advertising on your words, we do not sell your data, and we run no analytics on the content of your stories.
Voice and AI
To turn recordings into words and to arrange answers into chapters we use trusted AI services (such as Sarvam, OpenAI and Anthropic). They receive only what that step needs. Your recording always stays yours; you can correct the transcript at any time, and the original audio is never overwritten.
Where it lives
Your data is stored on our own servers in Mumbai, India. Everything between you and the server is encrypted. Audio and photos sit in private storage that only permitted people can open.
Who can see it
At first, only you. Then whatever you choose in Settings: family only, people with the link, everyone, or sealed until a date. You decide who is invited into the family. Our small team accesses data only when technically necessary, and with respect for your privacy.
How long
As long as you want. You can delete your account and book from Settings or by writing to us; everything is removed within 30 days, backups included. Sealed books and time capsules are kept until the date you chose.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Write to hello@aapkigaatha.com; we answer within 7 days.
Children
The service is for people aged 18 and over. A child’s stories can be added to a book by their parent.
Cookies
We keep only the essential cookies: your sign-in and your language choice. No tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date here and email you about anything significant.
